These are the people of #HK. Do they look like ‘hardened criminals’?Arrested tonight in Fanling, they are among the 7,100+ & counting protesters arrested since June, ordinary people fighting for democracy, for their freedom & rights, for dignity & control of their own lives.
While govt’s tried to stop #HK protest New Year’s markets on govt property, quite a few are still happening on private property. This one’s sponsored by pro-democracy Lung Mun Cafe at Hung Hom Hang Ngai Jewellery Centre from today (1/18) to January 24, 9am to 9pm.
Great video by @NorCalHK, shown at the 1/12 pre-march rally in #HK. This is just an excerpt. The whole 4min can be seen here: https://t.co/cJhTS6tBWP
See you at the march on the 19th! There are now solidarity rallies planned in 22 cities in 12 countries around the world.
Great interview with Carmen, a frontline social worker, on her solidarity work with young frontline protesters, balancing her work with being a mother, & the meaning of freedom. Social workers are among the many unsung heroes of the #HK freedom struggle.

In the endless graffiti war (protesters make them, govt paints over them), one of the newest to appear today is this: #FiveDemandsNotOneLess + 1, disbanding the police force, on Causeway Bay tram stop.
Through the police teargas & rubber bullets, the #LiberateHongKong #RevolutionOfOurTimes flag still flies at CUHK. #WeShallWin
At Tai Po #LennonWall 17.42: An attacker (photos here) knifed a leafleter in the neck. When the victim tried to run away, the assailant stabbed him again in the stomach. Unclear at this moment how badly injured the victim is but from initial accounts, it sounds serious.
