Ok, i will now stop the incessant Beach Boys-posting, i just wanna point out that their album ''Surf's Up'' has one of the funniest contrasts between the tone of the title and album cover i've ever seen.
7. Gerald Scarfe. My affinity for exaggerated, off the wall artstyles prob made this choice fairly predictable. Dood's a fuckn genius, also i referenced his art in my Reddit cartoon.
5. Keiichi Arawi has this incurable condition where he can't draw anything without it being ultra-charming and cute as shit. I also like how all of the stuff he draws has a touch of surrealism to it, the way he draws eyes and simple, cute characters has def bled into my artstyle.
3. Edd Gould was the master of less is more for creating quality content, he made super recognizable and well-designed characters with so little and i feel like that's the main thing i learned from his content, he didn't waste time on shit that didn't add to the entertainment.
1. Ok, imma cheat this first one a little. These are my two real early childhood drawing influences that i can recall. Matt Groening's super simple artstyle was one of the first i could confidently draw in myself and Jim Davis, still on his quest to legalize assisted suicide
