Happy Friday. I want to remind all my digital art pals that you can plop yourself down in a comfy chair and paint a watercolor in #AdobeFresco. The app is totally free, includes over 60 pixel and VECTOR(!) brushes, live watercolors, oils, 8K docs, PSD export, no layer limits. 👍
I did a livestream yesterday about using big brushes to work out your composition- helps you avoid getting bogged down in details that distract you from the important stuff. I think all artists can benefit from this approach. Watch here, and share! Thanks: https://t.co/4wIauWayuc
Start with big square brush and block in shapes, switching between additive and subtractive brush strokes. Carve in and out. Then, halve the brush size and do the same. Then halve once more. In 25-30 minutes (or less), you’re most of the way there. Coast to final. #illustration
Thanks to those of you who tuned in for that 20-minute live stream about using big brushes and big shapes to work out a composition quickly. I think it’s a method that can save everybody time and effort! It will be archived here in about 30 minutes: https://t.co/gxcB2vPUxP
Here is a small corner of something really fun I got to draw this week for Adobe. The coloring was done with the Cézanne brush in #AdobeFresco.
Attention digital artists: @Wacom released a $400 Cintiq, and even at this lower price point, it still has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, 60 degree tilt recognition, etc. - that's pretty, pretty great. https://t.co/SxMX9OuXWk
