Okay, I did another shape language and line art grind and managed to break free of my art block. Now back to doing illustrations.
I feel lazy doing multiple iterations of each drawing in an endless attempt to do aesthetic experimentations.
I should probably just draw more actual illustrations, but I'm overwhelmed as it is. Full time job, 3D modeling, and writing to get this comic out the door. 😰 https://t.co/jASattEaFe
Cleaned up the rendering to better respect the major forms. I tend to get overly caught up with detailing. https://t.co/GBlzhunpTn
Fmylife I posted the non-contrast corrected version. https://t.co/sN9d6OYra3
It's done-ish. I'll probably end up posting a billion more revisions per usual.
Progress! I'm directly painting this and trying to work more loosely than I usually do. https://t.co/8o46SpgFlL
WIP. I'm really happy with Gabriel's expression here.
I swear all my gay af drawings are all Gabriel centric. 😂
I actually ended up doing 28 pieces, so 4 more than my goals.
For 2023, I think I'll set my goal for 12 pieces with a full background/environment. And beyond that, I'll draw as much as I can.
I track my new year's resolutions here: https://t.co/imoZiCr3pF
I finally bit the bullet and switched to CSP. Took my ages to get about the same brush feel as Sai.
Left is a slightly more rendered version of my comic art workflow.
Right is my full illustration style.
