#OTD in 1928 Emmeline Pankhurst died, just a few weeks before women were granted equal voting rights with men in the Equal Franchise Act. She is remembered as a brave and inspirational suffrage leader.
It's graduation time at LSE. Did you know that in 1906 Christabel Pankhurst got a first class degree in law from the University of Manchester? At the time women were not allowed to practice law, so she began campaigning for women’s suffrage and equality.
