It WOULD be Professor Rowan because he has an amazing theme, but on the other hand: I am a slave to my body's chemicals, and those chemicals say "horny"

Silver has an awesome character arc, but Barry always felt better to beat since I distinctly remember him ruining my life multiple times during my first ever playthrough of Diamond. Fun fact: up until Heartgold/Soulsilver, Barry was THE strongest trainer in the games!

Design-wise these are my favourite. Always liked the idea of the 'strongest trainer' just being some guy in Red, the rest have visually appealing colour schemes and stuff. Also, me and Lucas technically have the same name, so he gets bonus points for that.

They made Farfetch'd cool!! And relevant! What an epic lad. I love duck. Had some yesterday, and it was super tasty.

Mega Kangaskhan was an obscene amount of fun to use in Gen 6, specifically against my friends as it decreased my chance of losing to single digit percents. You rock, kangaroo-dinosaur-punch-baby-thing

Not really a fan of 'mythical' pokémon, but given that one of them is god-and an extremely badass god-I'd have to go with that. Manaphy and Darkrai get bonus points however, as their movies have brilliant soundtracks. Take a listen!

Putting Tyranitar down for two categories would be unfair, so Salamence is by technicality my favourite pseudo-legend. If 'Game Boy Advance Graphics' was a single image it would be this. Vibrant, cool, Y2K-adjacent (maybe?) and so much fun to unleash on opponents.

Generally, if something has the title 'Legendary' it should be threatening. And a giant, bipedal fish with a knife on its head complete with an extremely gaudy colour scheme fits the "decadent weirdo who'll cut your body in half in nine different dimensions" bill VERY well.

Thought this was going to be Typhlosion? As much as I love the (literally) flaming honeybadger, in terms of practical use Torterra is king. Dishes out pain and cannot be clobbered by anything unless it's Ice type. Even then, all it needs is to survive, and it can use Stone Edge.

Takes hits like an absolute champion, learns many things to cover its weaknesses and destroy opponents, has a rock-solid design (pun totally intended), poops dirt and is a great reward for the effort of obtaining one.

Runners-up: Typhlosion, Salamence, Electivire and Magmortar
