2020 - You are here
Not a great start so far, but there still are 9 months. That was a great thread for me and I hope it entertained someone else too :)

2019 - Terrible year for me. It was my uni's final project year and there were some... problems... Also the reality of still being unemployed and seeing my lack of achievements destroyed my self-steem. Still made progress on my personal process.

2018 - I think this is the key year for me. I got into Mike Azevedo's class and I learned SO MUCH there I couldn't even begin to describe. It was a perfect moment to anwser so many of my questions, couldn't have been better. Knowledge comes at a price though.

2016 - I found so many useful artists teaching amazing fundamentals on the internet, but my anime drawings were still prettier. Kept bouncing between what I really liked drawing and what looked pretty. Lots of experimentation and fun! But also incredibly hard - I knew so little

2015 - I had an art crisis because my "realistic" stuff wasn't pleasing people. It takes a long time before "realistic" becomes pretty enough for people to like it and I was feeling it HARD. I had no idea what to do - never thought I'd be good enough. But I kept trying.

2014 - Kept trying to make more realistic stuff. League of Legends art style had what I had been looking for but didn't know where to find and gave me a very solid path in my art career. Ironically my computer wasn't able to run the game back then so I couldn't play it lol

2013 - Started experimenting with faces. I used to draw anime-ish but I never really liked it, to be honest. I always wanted to draw stronger structured stuff and less graphic designed, I just had no idea how (all my references back then were anime artists).
SO MUCH FAILURE.

2012 - Started exploring more shading and lineart. I had no idea back then you could actually finish something without lines, so I kept making line-focused drawings despite hating HATING lineart. I guess that's why I barely finished anything that year lol
