Starting off 2022 with something I've wanted to write about for a while now, so it's finally happening.
It's time to finally talk about Noriyuki Abe, the man who essentially defined shonen anime for roughly 20 straight years.
You know what you don't see in real boxing? Competitors delivering punches so utterly powerful that when both of them throw out their "Sunday punches" at the same time, it creates a literal explosion that even scorches the ring canvas itself
That's what makes "SF Boxing" so cool
New Piece: Ring ni Kakero vs. Ring ni Kakero 1
In 2001, Masami Kurumada's first hit manga saw its 4th release. However, this was more of a "Director's Cut" with numerous changes, including more in 2014, when digitally re-released.
Trust me, it's a lot.

New Obscusion B-Side: The Surprisingly (If Fitting) Perpetual Life of Chakan: The Forever Man in Print
To some, Chakan is nothing more than a really hard 1992 Genesis/Mega Drive game. Behind that, though, is a shockingly long run of self-published stories.

However, Suda wasn't just known for his "manly" style, as you could find him doing characters designs for Toward the Terra (Toei's movie), Yokai Watch, Mach Go Go Go: Restart/Speed Racer X, The Laws of the Universe Part 0 (hey, it was a paid gig)... and even Gundoh Musashi.
You can find Suda's most iconic style titles like Fist, Future War Year 198X, Government Crime Investigation Agent Zaizen Jotaro, Konpeki no Kantai, Sakigake!! Otokojuku, Salaryman Kintaro, & Rokudenashi Blues 1993.
1973: Ace wo Nerae!/Aim for the Ace!
The iconic shojo tennis series directed b Osamu Dezaki. Another all-time influential classic that remains without any sort of official English release. Who knows, maybe one day, but I highly doubt it'll happen.
More people should know of Typing of the Dead II. It's a modification of House of the Dead III, and the characters are still donning Dreamcasts with giant batteries on their backs.
But, most importantly, they're killing zombies with keyboard shotguns.
KEYBOARD... SHOTGUNS!
I missed the 10th Anniversary for Ring ni Kakero 1: Sekai Taikai-hen, which debuted back on April 10, 2011!
The last season of RnK1's anime, its truncated adaptation was made up for by having some of the best animation across all four seasons, directed by a debuting @aho_boy!
Ever wanted to hear fan-favorite Giant Robo OVA villain Alberto the Impact, in his original source form, voiced by Norio Wakamoto? Then there's always the cancelled Mars OVA from 1994.
Wakamoto's barely in it, but at least we got him screaming his head off once at the very end.
