Brightening your day on our #virtualtour today with David J. Samila's work, "Oh Lordy." About this work Samila says, “I am trying to see what I am saying.”
Our #virtualtour continues with Jane Bowen's "Numbers 1-4." Using an interlocking pattern of squares & parallelograms this work demonstrates the subtle variations & changes we all experience as we grow and evolve through the seasons.
Up next on our virtual tour of the Juried Exhibition is ceramic artist Heidi McKenzie's "House of Cards." The work speaks to the precarious nature of McKenzie's late father & his life as an immigrant from Trinidad. McKenzie's practice engages with issues of identity & belonging.
We will be sharing more details of works in the Juried Exhibition, starting today with Every 5 Days by Lo Scott. Intersecting traditional & conceptual art forms, Scott explores fragmentation & disparity invoked through power dynamics & personal agendas in intimate relationships.
