Sonja believes Knell will be safer with her than Alastair, and she’s willing to die for that.

He tries to be a good parent to his adoptive daughter—a terrafelos (cat girl), but he misses the mark. I want their relationship to be kind of the reverse of Hex’s relationship w/ her adopted family, which is supportive and loving and they do the best for her
