2/2 My best guess is maybe Mojito thought putting a literal goose on Geb's head would look hilarious, and went with the less traditional hemhem crown depiction? 😂😂
Reference to the Sekhmet myth
It's kind of telling how they call it a "purge" as if it was a good thing. They sought to purge only to turn into a near-extinction event.
I'm curious to see how the birth of Sekhmet will be revealed in #Ennead
I really like Isis' design in her simple attire. While she is lovely with the makeup and jewelry, there is something so beautiful & exquisite abt her at her most bare. Perhaps one can say it's Isis at her most trusting and true, where the only worries was maintaining the Nile.
Which brings me to this panel when Isis asks Thoth for more fortunes. The use of Ma'at makes sense. She's the goddess of justice & truth, plus she's Thoth's wife, inserting a funny angry wife joke there. But why is Osiris the other figurehead? Why not Isis? 8/?
Thoth is referred as the god of wisdom and knowledge in Ennead. He correctly "assumes" what plagued Horus was the same as Anubis, and that it wasn't really a curse, not in its intent or feelings. If there is a god who knows something, besides Ra, it is Thoth. 7/?
And then there are the panels w/ the gods when they are speaking to Osiris. Notice something different about Thoth compared to the other gods? Everyone generally has their arms down, a sign of trust. But Thoth has his arms crossed, guarded. 4/?
