after the death of Azar, Raven stopped praying and turned to mediation and never spoke to Arella unless she had to and always prefered solitude and quiet
with all of Raven's training , Arella rarely saw Raven but that's because Azar didn't want Raven to feel any type of emotion so she doesn't risk exposing Azarath to Trigon
Arella attempted suicide by swallowing pills because she knew what the baby would become and she lied down to die, she was then later approached by a "messager of God" that wanted to take her to a different realm known as Azarath where'd she would be safe
during the sexual intercourse between Arella and Trigon, Trigon revealed his true form but it was already too late for Arella to do anything because Trigon had already impregnated Arella
it all goes back to Raven's mother Arella, Arella was a lost soul that found her way into a cult and the members used her for a dark ceremony and the purpose of it was to summon Trigon.
