@B_Kurayami3 when doing this sort of thing probably the most important consideration is where the light comes from to do your hard shading

this is a rough example with the Poke Ball but once you've got those done, you can start working on softer tones within the colours with a softer brush

@B_Kurayami3 so one big thing that'll make your work less flat is through shading, this artist specifically seems to use a mixture of hard and soft highlights/shadows

circled are hard highlights, where light is bouncing off the skin/clothes etc.

@t0ggy2 mind you this is a VERY quick mockup but it's an interesting idea to bring those aspects of the design from G2 forward (maybe fix the shoes too)
