So I had never heard of this before today.
In 1997 (years before UDON even existed), the great Mike Wieringo was part of a pitch to do a Street Fighter III comic series.
It got far enough along that Capcom even advertised it in their newsletter.

Some pieces I colored back around 2005 for practice when I was looking for work as a colorist. All by @Guido_Guidi. I believe they were pieces meant for the unpublished Transformers Energon: MTMTE guide books.
Found good sized cover JPGs of some unpublished 2004/2005 Transformers comics. Transformers: War Within: Age of Wrath covers by @trickydigits, and Transformers: Energon covers by @markerguru. All were to have been written by @SimonFurman3.
The toy line didn't actually launch until 2006, and the anime in 2007 so... they were cooking it for a while.
Street Fighter Swimsuit Special cover by Tsuji Santa (of Super Sonico fame), and one of his rough progress shots.
Find it in the STREET FIGHTER SWIMSUIT SPECIAL COLLECTION HC:

UDON is best known for publishing book based on Japanese IPs, but we've also put together some books for Western franchises. Here are some of them!
Not everyone knows that both Ken and Sean are each half Japanese.
And there an interesting relationship between them that Ken the sensei, does not have a martial arts history in his family. Meanwhile Sean, the student, comes from a long lineage of martial artists.
