I'm realizing that my go-to creature design approach is just "give it tendrils".
Looking forward to introducing a cherub in my comic...their human, ox, lion, and eagle heads are all merged together into one. They're typically bipedal but can go on all fours as well.
Giant ostracods are crustaceans that resemble shrimp inside a hinged shell. Their antennae and legs poke out of their carapace, allowing them to swim about the sea. (They are only about the size of a ping pong ball🏓)
