Second is Damon, who's honestly the more love-hate rivalry. They push each other's buttons, know how to rile each other up, but do genuinely respect each other's skills and strengths. He doesn't offer any words, but does end up tracking down one of trainer's missing pokemon

Trainer has two main ace trainer rivals, who started about the same time as her.

Harper (and her gf Irsa, who isn't a trainer but a pokemon coordinator hehe)

trainer jumps through fucking hoops in order to get back to victory road without an ID and meets the love interest, Beckett! Beckett's a pokemon ranger with his partner pokemon, cherrim. He's steadfast, persistent, but kind of meek in his own way.
