@AHelleneAuthor So, I used a combination of the Shroud of Turin and Eastern Orthodox icons as my basis, and made a caricature. I decided Adam and David would look identical because typology, and gave them all reddish skin because David was described as 'Ruddy' and 'Adam' is related to 'Edom'.

Making a sprite comic isn't abandoning HD art. E.g. I was already planning it with the understanding that some pages of the printed comic would be set opposite illustrations.

Both of these images are meant to go in a 5x8 KDP paperback.

Last few days, been refining my Piqha. Partly because I aim to use them in RPGs, and if I can't make an RPG engine that starts in pixel art and switches to HD, I may as well work in HD from the start. But that means making design decisions earlier.

Decided I wanted at least a couple of months for editing and tweaking.

My next book is going to take more than a month. Took a month just to storyboard!

Experimenting with different levels of detail for drawing piqha. I have not found the sweet spot yet.

Or maybe I have. The old pen drawing is the bit that inspires me. Perhaps, having explored my way into horrific realism, I should use that as a guide back into cartooniness.
