Some vectory stuff I'm working on!

Here's a fairy queen Titania! This was originally day 26, but I had some scanner issues and never posted it. I then repurposed it as practice, so it worked out.

More practice! I don't usually do random designs not based on anything, since I kinda have this mythology/ghost/monster thing (or I'm doodling D&D characters), but I like how this turned out!

My last weekly mermaid this year, No. 5, is also my favorite. I wanted to do something soft and pink, and what's a better marine animal for that than the jellyfish? I think I'll do a watercolor version of this at some point!

Here's No. 3: shark mermaid. I really like sharks, and I really like creepy fairies, so I wanted to try out a creepy sea fairy aesthetic here. I do like how the mermaid turned out, but I think I'll revise the background to be darker when I have time!

Inktober day 14 and my favorite equine creature: Pegasus! What's not to like about a winged horse? Although we now think of winged horses as a species of magical creature, the original Greek myth is of one specific Pegasus, the son of the god Poseidon and Medusa.

Inktober, day 8: Hippocamp! This half horse, half fish sea creature belonged to the gods -- either Poseidon or Melqart, depending on if you're Greek/Roman or Phoenician -- and were associated with both fresh water and sea water.

Inktober day 4: velho! Witchcraft used to be a pretty normal aspect of ancient Finnish life, but of course magic can be used wrong. Finnish witches had to be prepared to fight off enemy velho. Spells or words of power would be sung or recited in verse!

This week's of the week: the yuki-onna! The stories about her vary from place to place, but she is variously said to trick humans and freeze them to death, or to steal their vitality. In some versions, she also carries a child.
