This morning I was surprised by creamy white holly growing around a stump among the Autumn browns in Warley Woods. Does anyone know why it is this colour?
I then also noticed creamy coloured insides of chestnut burrs nearby - such lovely contrast to the browns.

Day 27: Grasses in my garden
So many different grasses!

Day 13: The little tree in my front garden.
I have no idea what this is. It appeared one year and kept trying to grow in front of our window. My efforts to cut it back have made it more like a shrub than I think it originally was.
Can anyone help me identify it?

Day 12: Letting in the Wild Edges
Today I chose to pause, inspired by Glennie Kindred’s beautiful book and a lull in this week of continual rain, I wandered barefoot to simply sit in the garden.
Fledgling tits pecked at peanuts.
Wet grass warmed beaneath my feet.
