Today's new JUMP series is NINE DRAGONS' BALL PARADE a baseball manga and the first new sports series in the magazine since Haikyu!! ended.
It sure is about baseball
It's the 11th in Japan which means HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the ultimate wingwoman, savior of the galaxy, and total granma's girl Mirage Farina Jenius
Today's new JUMP series is WITCH WATCH, a romantic comedy about a teen witch and her ogre childhood friend/familiar, from the creator of ASTRA LOST IN SPACE, and SKET DANCE
That said, we're only 2 entries into this latest round of new series, but both feel remarkably distinct within the magazine. No clue if either will be around for long (tho don't bet against Matsui) but it's at least refreshing to have something feel genuinely new again.
Then just for fun let's include some JUMP+ stuff:
GHOST REAPER GIRL
pure, mindless indulgence by the Rosario+Vampire creator but by god this was the year I needed a silly, stakesless reverse harem with gorgeous illustrations and powerful bisexual energy.
SAKAMOTO DAYS:
Last of the new entries in the magazine for 2020. It's a little inconsistent, but at its best it's a fun, breezy pastiche of action films, highlighted with some great looney tunes physics and slapstick.
OUR BLOOD OATH:
On the one hand, I don't wanna be mean because this series got axed harder than any other series this year. Just a brutal, swift death with no chance of an ending.
On the other I read 10 chapters and couldn't tell you a damn thing about it
