Today's new Jump series is RURIDRAGON, an offbeat comedy about a girl who one day wakes up with horns and learns her absent dad was a dragon. It's got a surprisingly laidback kind of humor to it. Not sure how well it'll do long-term, but it's honestly a refreshing bit of variety.
This week's new Jump series is ALIENS AREA, a sci-fi action series about covertly fighting alien invasion. It's...ok? Nothing terrible in this opener but it's shockingly thin for a first chapter. Barely establishes the premise with little character to stand. Guess we'll see?
