This list was really tough to make, the first third of this year was stacked to say the least for me. This list is pretty subjective and personal and so many albums didn't make the cut. Have some honorable mentions and let's get started!

Kira drew me a 2013 flipnote era Fritter and honestly I think this may be the pinnacle of art, I love it so dearly

SP hones Critical Arts. Low defense, Low MP glass canon. He can buff the party with defense and higher critical ratios. Deals extreme piercing damage with high costing MP moves. Importance is focused on team synergy and setups. Requires patience over turns for steady MP regen.

Kira's the archetype Magicks user. She has low health but makes up for it with high MP. Can use a range of elemental attacks for moderate to low cost, including less powerful heals. Has a lot of AoE moves for horde fights. Requires mana potions for MP regen.

Expi's focus is Rage Arts. She's beefy with big health and moderate damage. She has attacks that can deal big blunt damage at a moderate cost, and can buff the party with higher physical attack stats. Slowest move turn of the party. Requires dealing damage for MP regen.
