Took a cue from @ordheist and made a ground type pocket-monster that just happens to look a bit like chickorita due to convergent evolution. Prairiedigs use the eyespots on their shovel-crest to scare off predators and communicate with each other over long distances.

What is a MUGWUMP? An extremely neutral creature due to its two opposing halves cancelling each other out. An extra-medium moderate so aloof that it's somehow very involved. A highly evolved fence sitter. Most importantly it has a MUG on one end and a WUMP on the other.
