Pale-as-the-Dead is the Archmage of a hidden magical academy known as The School of Free-thinking. Pale is an albino and a half-dragon, though he was born a Pure Elf, and is believed to be the last one alive on the Material plane. He is always followed by a pack of winter wolves.

Kreeva Iron-eye is the Matron of the assassin's guild/ death cult known as the Dark Harvesters. She wields the Ghost Blade, which captures the souls of those it kills. Publicly, Kreeva is but a wealthy merchant. Even among nobles, it's rumored that Kreeva dines on raw man-flesh.
