DIORAMA TIME!!
I started working on the next one ➡️ Kirby Dream Land 3!
I'm done with the environment modeling, next is characters and texturing!
06 - To this last multiply you can also link an other detail mask.
For this one I choose ink spots!
05 - I multiplied 2 maps after the highlight : a hatching detail map and a mask. The mask erase some of the details.
The bottom multiply is linked to the dot product highlight mask, so details will also be erased in highlights!
Again I used triplanar mapping for convenience.
Modeling:
Since I had to model super fast I used a lot of modifiers in 3DsMax to get fast results and I discovered a few modeling tricks on the way 😂
I also tried to re-use as much model as I could (leaves, pumpkin, etc)

Modeling :
Since I wanted to post gifs of my 3D I didn't care about the poly count at all, I just built my models to make them look good, it was speed modeling after all. So I took every shortcut I could to model them as fast as possible and keep the details that mattered.

I've been messing with some post process combo tonight to give a bit more detail to my cutetober renders 🎃
it's a combo of edge detection + smooth filter and a color gradient on top, I really like it !
