A piece for an old theme, that I decided to do so I had a final piece for the decade wrap up I'm going to post in a bit

starting a new piece that I plan to finish before the end of the month, for my decade wrap up thing

This file is fucking enormous, and I really didn't need to spend so long painting scales as I did but
here it is, the finished fiji mermaid (+detail shots because I'm sure twitter will compress the hell out of this)

I spent several hours painting some hands
there's something appealing to me about doing realistic hands, with doofy cartoon bones/gore at the wrists, it feels really endearing to do somehow

I forgot their freckles
I also just realized I forgot to draw earrings but, I'm not going back twice so, oh well
I did get mildly carried away with detail shit when fixing the freckle situation lmao I just
love sparkles and spots, okay
