Fyi, it's a typhoon called Noru, we predicted it to be the worst typhoon in the last 20 years of Vietnam.
And it's gonna hit directly the city I'm living in in less than 24 hours...
There are many reasons why Nguyen is so common here but these are main ones:
1. When big Dynasties like Tran and Ly lost to their enemies, many of their family members had to change their surnames to hide away from those enemies. Nguyen was a common choice back then.
