@Xanthan81 @DienstagTaco No, Superboy-Prime and the Pocket Universe Superboy are most definitely NOT the same person. The former was stuck in a "paradise dimension" until "Infinite Crisis" in 2005. The latter died fighting the Time Trapper in "Legion of Super-Heroes" #37 (September 1987).

In 2004, DC Comics decided to erase 41 years of Doom Patrol history in an arbitrary reboot. The problem? One of the reintroduced characters, Elasti-Girl, was the adoptive mother of the Teen Titans' Beast Boy...who was unaffected despite an extensive history with both teams. 3/5

@jasonjordan2814 "Superman going evil" has been done before, but, by and large, those were one-shot Imaginary or Elseworlds stories. When Dan DiDio came in, they started becoming more prevalent, standing presences. Hell, "Injustice" had an entire continuity based around an evil, rogue Superman.

@BinBadly Superman's costume is actually based on the design of the post-Crisis Kryptonian bio-maintenance bodysuit, which was part of his canonical origin at the time.

And just to round things out, in "Kingdom Come", Joker murdering the Daily Planet staff (including Lois Lane) combined with humanity's rejection of his code of ethics massively screwed with his moral compass and his instinctual knowledge of right and wrong became skewed. 4/4

We saw something similar during the "Divided We Fall" story arc where the entire JLA was split into their superhero and civilian identities. The Clark Kent-less Superman again went full Kryptonian and started acting like a public servant with no attachment to those he served. 3/4
