Again, just playing with layer properties and stuff makes this a very fun tool for changing the feel of a drawing super quick and easily!

You can also double-click the icon in order to change the gradient map if you want to!

Have fun and I hope this helped ;w;)9

Depending on the amount of colors in the gradient map, some airbrushed things, i.e. the cheek blush (since it has a LOT of values) might turn into more of a blob!

There are only so many colors in a gradient map to color all the values, you see

For illustrations it's basically the same principle, a gradient map recolors the values as opposed to the hue or saturation

Basically it sees the image on the left as the image on the right

The example above is without any layer properties and just the gradient map itself on full opacity!

You can play with the layer properties and opacity if you'd like to change the feel or look of it, all based on preference!

This is of course for grayscale drawings/sketches.

So from what I've learned, gradient maps focus on transforming the values of the art, and not the saturation or hue themselves, into the colors of the set

If you notice, where the sketch's lines are lower or higher value/opacity, the gradient map chose a different color
