The gameplay in Monster Hunter has always been a very methodical gameplay, there is room for reaction of course but each move had so much animation frame and delay that you really had to commit to the button when you pressed it.

There are two main components to each monster hunter game. The monsters, and the gameplay. I feel that while Rise still hits the monster component well it really shifts away from the previous games too hard in the gameplay and player progression.

I'm graduating (from my masters) so to celebrate so to celebrate I'm going to host a MULTI DAY SUBATHON next week! There's going to be guests, playing with chat, REVENGEANCES, and more!

@HanaotheRabbit Favorite gym leader: Hmmmmmmm this one is hard since a lot of the older gym leaders don't have a lot personalities but great designs. But I think I have to go with the little gremlin Acerola

Favorite rival:
I really liked Hugh the ending to his story isn't a complete one. It's the start of another journey of reconciliation for him and his purlion which parallels the plot of the new and old plasma.
Buttface is a close second though
