IDW's take on the game Knuckles is the start of a hopeful redemption for the character. Being the leader of an army in Forces is dropped in favor of him returning to being the Master Emerald Guardian.

His appearances have been limited, but he's been so much better written.

@SonicOfficialJP I love Cream so much! She still is my favourite character in the franchise.

#KnucklesTheEchidna is finally, truly back to his former glory. We all missed you.

This series also gave us my favorite character in the entire Sonic franchise tied with Cream, Belle the Tinkerer. It was also via this character that I made an amazing friend.

So thank you IDW team, SEGA, and Evan for this precious bean.

#IDWSonic is a fantastic series that has brung me so much joy. The characters are written so well, the art is outstanding, the stories are fun and epic, and the comic exclusive characters are incredible.
