First piece: ink & digital color, second: watercolor/gouache/ink with a digitally drawn border.

It's my birthday, so I'm doin an art thread with some of my faves.

First off:

All painted primarily in watercolor with some ink, gouache and colored pencil here & there.

I used to listen to CR (and draw fanart in my sketchbook) at my non-creative, art-adjacent day job. Listening helped keep me sane!
In the last 3 years I've been freelancing fulltime, so the fanart's slowed down, but I still love putting CR on while I work <3

-characters and depicting queer stories brings me peace and joy. I cherish each & every opportunity to do so in my client work as well as my personal work.

I know -despite everything- we'll continue to share these stories; they're a part of us and We're Not Going Anywhere.

I'm so tired of the utter shit that's being thrown at LGBTQ people. It feels overwhelming and finding focus has been hard. But art is my port in the storm. It's a way to block out the shit for a while and to channel my deep and growing queer rage.
