@Dianazoic One day we’re going to find an (almost) fully articulated, ridiculously well preserved Spinosaurus specimen that got washed out and buried in marine sediment like Borealopelta. When we do a golden age of peace will be upon us.
Ngl when watching the first season of the Mandalorian I kind of (naively) expected the Blurrg and Krayt dragon to look like they did in the Star Wars wildlife book I got when I was younger.
Either we’re severely lacking it or I’m just not looking hard enough but I think this is one of the few paleoart examples I’ve seen depicting allosaurus using its forelimbs while killing. Anyone know of others? (This one’s from a short book by Marco Singore and Matteo Bacchin)
Dunno if I’ve said this before but I can’t overstate my appreciation of the “Great Protector” shown in Shang Chi. It’s easily the best Chinese dragon (Lòng) depiction I’ve seen in years when it comes to cinema. Say nothing of the fact that they gave her water-based abilities.
Dunno about anyone else but I was quite obsessed/enamored with this book as a kid
@JoshuaTedder3 @TyrannosaurCarr Dodo birds offer another example since the skin overlays most of the skull until it transitions into the rhampotheca at the end
PNSO has one sexy Carcharodontosaurus ngl https://t.co/DEAnXmjsvy
I think if there’s one Kaiju who’s cinematic potential has been kind of slept on I’d say it’s Hedorah. You can really dive into the horror-esque theme with him.
@king_tyranno We also need to address the fact that this might just be the most badass parasaurolophus ever
