I'm still somewhat surprised by the fact these 2 shows have the same creator.
Detentionaire trivia: In the OG pilot, Lee Ping wasn't voiced by Jonathan Tan, but rather Evan Smith. Looking him up, his most notable roles seem to be Ever After High and Monster High.
There's something to be said about the fact that in each of my top three all-time favorite cartoons, my favorite characters are all lovable, quirky, kindhearted goofs who screw up a lot but are just too pure for this world.

Its Asian/Pacific Heritage month in the States and Asian Heritage Month in Canada. So as a Hong Kong-born Canadian, here are my two all-time favorite cartoon Asian characters and the characters I see the most of myself in these days.
I don't think most people would believe me if I told them these shows were all created by the same guy. Heck, even I have trouble believing it sometimes. They all have so little in common with each other.
Just gonna say it: these three are an underrated cartoon friendship trio.
Also, this show is a perfect example of "don't judge a show by its title".
