I always hated that trope where it’s SUPER easy to know who the superhero is just by looking at their civilian form. It just makes the supporting cast of the show look dumb for NOT figuring out their identity the instant they see them on the street/TV 😂 like… HOW YALL BLIND?

The only thing I am sad about is that in the new visuals they didn’t differentiate their civilian looks vs their Mew Mew looks enough like the OG. Where their eyes and hair color are vastly different. I respected that contrast cuz most cuz that’s what made TMM stand out to me.

Like dang. That contrast. I like them both for different reasons. But for me the most fun part is just watching my fave authors and seeing their art evolution. It’s just really fascinating for me.

As much as I favor the old Mia Ikumi art style I can’t deny her new style is just as cute and translates well to animation. It’s more simplified and I do like the pastel/muted colors for the anime visual because those are trendier now in magical girl shows especially nowadays.
