I think I've finally been able to rule out Scorbunny, but that still leaves me with a really difficult choice. Man, I ALWAYS pick water starters, I thought I'd go with something different... but I like Sobble so much!... But Grookey is so cute!... But I like Sobble so much!...

Chomper's parents are a crotchety Hank and Peggy couple, but they love their son to death and would not put his fate in the hands of some stranger. They'd need some kind of communication with her to see what kind of person she was to build that level of trust with her.

Can Ruby speak sharptooth? The show states that she knows Chomper's folks, and unless they learned flatooth from their son they couldn't give Ruby her mission otherwise. And I don't buy they simply had Chomper translate for them--they had to KNOW her pretty well first.
