Here's some from 2013. I started teaching kids how to draw manga when I was around 21 years old (in 2003 or so) and that has influenced my style quite a lot and I still struggle a bit with breaking away from that aesthetic! I started working professionally in 2004.
Here's a few from 2010. It's interesting to see how some years look like a step back from previous years because I venture into new areas of art where I'm not as confident. It's so tempting to stay in that comfort zone, but rarely very beneficial in the long run.
And 2006. The 3d room was made in 3DS max I think. Around here I started making videos of the painting process and still have a few of those on my youtube channel.
Here's a few more.. those are from 2003 and I see a clear improvement after art-school! The cow is probably one of my first #3d models outside of the scenes I'd done in Bryce and Poser previously, but those don't really count, right? :P Oh if I had #dreamsps4 back then!
Now and then it's good to find your old artwork and compare it to where you are today as a reminder of how far you've come. Here are some of my old works from around 2000. 3-4 was after I started attending art courses/school.. man I wish I had youtube tutorials back then :D #art
Before I started doing 3d in VR back in early 2017 and then later started doing all my work in #DreamsPS4 I had worked for many years as an illustrator. I took part in a group on FB called "The daily spitpaint" where you got daily keywords and then had 30 minutes to paint.
No new Dreams post from me yesterday?! 😅 Spent all of last evening optimizing elements and got my Dreams castle, with the new ballroom scene, from 98% gameplay thermo and 82% graphics thermo, down to 75% gameplay with only 1% increase in graphics 😱
