Today a small hillfort in the Eifel near Bad Münstereifel, which only covers an area of about half a hectare and is probably unpublished so far. The chronology is therefore completely unclear. #HillfortsWednesday #Archaeology @planlaufterrain

The hillfort in Kreuzweingarten dates back to the first half of the 1st century BC and is associated with the Celtic tribe of the Eburones. Walls and ditches have been excellently preserved, although the ridge was the scene of fierce battles during WW2. #HillfortsWednesday
