My favorite videogame protagonist is Koh from Azure Dreams. Why? Dude kept coming back from the Monster Tower with treasure and he actually used that wealth to help his hometown. Thanks to him, Monsbaiya got a hospital, library, theater, etc. Town grew along with him.

I like the idea of time being real in a story, in the sense that there are clear changes in the world or characters as the plot progresses. Amira's already had a wardrobe change but this isn't the last time she'll change her clothes.
Other characters have had costume changes too!
