For a long minute, I put more personality into my locations than my NPCs , not wanting to steal the spotlight. I loved the spectral tabaxi guarding vicarious-scrying tabaxi indoor kids, a grave rave, minotaur 3-D maze-like home, & a drow jungle community constructed w/3-D webs.
The first episode had their mentors, The Titan Slayers, kidnapped and imprisoned by a chimeric kaiju of the 3 monsters that they had killed years ago. Kraken, Phoenix and Crystal Giant. The kids werer teleported to safety on the other side of the planet. Forced to work together.
Our story was a PG-13 tale of teens and tweens on their first big adventure away from their mentors. Kids on hikes. A good genre mashup too! Our heroes, Bug (Boya Sun), Zip (Caitlin Major), Ysburiel (Priscilla Kim) and Swell (Matt Hoddy)
This is why I put Muscles into my RPG/graphic novel as an obstacle. https://t.co/UJfOgXRxXx
Thinking about how most of the famous actor Netflix action films we've tried to get through have been generic duds, but their animation projects have brought our family so much joy.
Each artist or set takes a slightly different take on the same general outfit most of the time. So taking the essential parts, and nicest lines to cut, was fun.
Three more #MTG planeswalkers and a group shot to show their comparative sizes. Tried to pick a variety of colours to represent.
There's a #MTG animated series? No. I just made up some model sheets. Practising taking established characters and simplifying them.
Morgus of the Lynx Clan is a human heavy metal barbarian berzerker, Illesica's best friend. People write him off as dumb because he's slow to find the right words, but his actions in battle show a sharp tactical mind.
@hellocookie Another one you might have missed is Super Happy Magic Forest, a sidescrolling picture books series that has turned into a middle grade fiction series that my kids love too. Interesting to see how one transitions to the other.
