We're excited to be working with @DJCAD who will be digitally interpreting our ship models with 3D scanning & 360° visualisation.

As a result we'll be taking models off display at Broughty Castle on 9 Jan, and 14 Jan at McManus. They will be returned on Monday 20 Jan. #ycw2020

Dr Thomas Wise collected everything from Egyptian amulets to Irish copper axes and wrote treatise on subjects as varied as the Hindu system of medicine and Buddhist imagery on Pictish stones.

Explore his "cabinet of curiosities" at our Wise Ways exhibition, open until 25 August.

Dundee engineer James Guthrie Orchar was a close friend & patron of William McTaggart. He bought this dynamic seascape directly from the artist in 1875. The painting remains in the City, together with the rest of Orchar’s collection, here at The McManus. #FriendsMW #MuseumWeek
