man...the beauty of these lines aside, how ironic that he says all this and ends up finishing the duel with understanding and love that...quite literally fills the universe and saves it 😭

This is just kinda...haunting isn't it?? Judai so desperate he refuses to feel empathy for Yubel, thinks only anger can defeat them. Judai said Yubel refused to listen to him but in the same way...isn't he refusing to listen to or understand Yubel by doing this?

like it's so perfect for this duel to end in a draw with Judai telling Yubel they can't win cause they had no real bonds with anyone?? But then discovering Yubel did, in fact, have a very REAL bond with him so it ends with both of them ending the duel together with no loser

man I know I've posted these before but the realisation that this whole duel is just Judai mirroring Yubel (actually the whole second half of s3 is Judai mirroring Yubel), considering how Yubel LITERALLY became a demon for Judai is just *chef's kiss*

friend somewhat pointed this out for me but the supreme king's helmet and the crystal protector's mask are completely inverted when juxtaposed
