I only recently learned that Mon Colle Knights was more than just a kids anime localized in 2000 but that it's part of a (formerly) huge TCG franchise in Japan that was originally illustrated by the creator of Dragon Half.

For Iczer-1, Hirano said Nagisa's character was meant to be similar to the young females in American horror movies. Nagisa's voice actor also voiced Mai in Megazone and her screams in Megazone are why Hirano cast her as Nagisa.

Happy Spooktober, here's a piece by Iczer-1's manga author Rei Aran from 1986. His avatar, the Jack-O-Lantern face, can be seen under the lady's armpit.

I feel like Space Punch became too much of a tangent in the script for Iczer-1 but I also don't have enough to say for it to become its own video. Here's the cover of the original novel Hurricane Ryu wrote in high school inspired by the film Sister Street Fighter.

The detective from the Demon Lord Dante anime looked a lot like the detective from The Skull Man so I looked into the manga to see if Go Nagai copied the character design, but the manga detective seems to be a caricature of Columbo.
