Yesterday I received my new reference sheet from @LordPulex and I am absolutely in love with it! It has so much more personality than the original one I had and the customer service was great! Turnaround time was quick, and I had input every step of the way. Definitely recommend!

@MainMandarin I’m not sure what my boy would be. I guess something gentle and creative like a baker or a florist, although he’d be allergic to most of the flowers :P

Early last year, I began to feel detached from Butterfly. I no longer wanted to have that association of my sona being previously female. I had gone through so much in my life with that fursona, but I wanted a fresh start. On January 16th, 2017, Sammy McLain was created.

However, I still wanted Butterfly to be my fursona. I had worked so hard on developing her, and I didn’t want her to go away despite my growing discomfort with identifying as female. Butterfly became more androgynous at this time, and eventually I changed the character to male.

Then came my new male secondary sona, Jag. He was cool and suave and masculine, and I immediately clung to him as a character that I deeply connected with. He was brought to the foreground for a while because his maleness was so refreshing to me. It just seemed right.

Sometime in 2014 someone had gotten Butterfly’s colors a little wrong on a commission, but without a ref sheet I used this drawing as my ref. Soon all of Butterfly’s artwork used these browned colors, and I actually began to like her more because of how natural she looked.
