Here’s another test in Corel with a sketch that I really wanted to color. I’m still getting used to the brushes, so I wasn’t sure how well I could color those flames but that’s what experimenting is for.

Richter Belmont - "The Pure"

Okay hello that was fast. Fittingly this is the most energetic of the Belmont Clan. And also the most acceptably cute one. I wanted to draw all of Richter’s designs at once to save time, but I couldn’t find a good composition. So one Richter will do.

Juste Belmont - "The Blessed"

Following his grandfather is the witchy boy of the family, Juste! He doesn't have an immense body type, but makes up for that in his hair and blooming outfit. So he still ends up requiring a lotta space.

And has to be drawn ever so carefully.

Christopher and Soleiyu Belmont - “The Foretold”

I can’t ever overlook Christopher and his boy, I like them a lot. Of course I had some trouble figuring out how I wanted to color them, but I think I managed something. Just for the occasion, I'm drawing Christopher in his armor.

Leon Belmont - "The Lost"

It's been literal years, but I wanted to make new full-body reference shots of the Belmonts because the old ones are aaagghhh. So we're starting with Leon again! Now that I got a hold of his hair, look how much prettier (and sad-looking) he is.

"The Young Man from the Mountains"

This was meant to be for Castlevania's 36th Anniversary, which I also consider to be Simon's birthday. I wanted to do something on the idea of “humble beginnings” by making a pretty shot of Simon in his younger days.

Yay I actually colored it~ I left this file alone for some time, so I chose to go back-n-finish it. I still find it tough to color with less-defined lines, but there's always room to experiment, no?

At the moment, I am so stressed to the point that I feel like I can't draw even though I want to. But I drew these earlier in the week (to destress) and since it’s this game’s anniversary today, why not share them.
