As you know, Matthew has a tattoo on his face. Many of the Pagans in his village are covered in markings.

If your MC could change one thing about themselves, what would it be?

Elizabeth would probably wish to be less "delicate". Her refusal to hunt and kill an animal makes finding food way more difficult than it needs to be.

Gregory: A bowl of rabbit stew. It's his comfort food.

Elizabeth: Asking her to play the lute for you. She's an incredible musician & loves to share her music with others .

As much as she hates it, Elizabeth must keep her true identity & past a secret for awhile, even from Matthew. When they first meet, she says her name is Dorothy.

Since joining her brother in exile, Elizabeth's wardrobe is limited. She only has 2 dresses to choose from, but she's always wearing her wooden bird necklace.

Gregory & Elizabeth just finished off the last of the meat pies & apples they got from a festival. They had some cheese, but now it's gone, too. Things aren't looking good. 😅

How much time does your book span from beginning to end?

#TheFiresofTreason starts in July & ends in September, so it's only a few months. Book 2 will pick up where it left off & will probably end in the springtime.

Was your MC ever bullied/teased?

Although she was a princess & therefore untouchable by most, Elizabeth endured constant ridicule from her older sister. Bernadette envied the loyalty Bess had for Gregory & made her suffer for it.

What's your MC's favorite animal? Does it come up in the story at all?

Elizabeth's favorite animal is the blue tit bird, which is why she chose it as her royal symbol.
