A lot has happened since asking permission from @LifeAfloat to use his wonderful photo.
I think Queen Elizabeth II would approve of this Scottish mountain scene and also the spirit in which Nick has taken on his adventure.

Apologies for all of the Essex fields shots this week. They’re just too attention grabbing to bypass. The landscape around here changes from green to yellow to brown in quick succession. Enjoying these golden days.

Which means today’s painting brings August to a close. What a colourful month! Thanks for the likes, comments and rts - it’s been a lot of fun!

I’ve been trying to push myself to draw people more as it’s something I’m not as comfortable doing. This is a sketch of my son when he was younger in the pool on holiday.

@ByLakeland I had a lovely first visit there a couple of weeks ago and created some watercolours inspired by the striking landscape as part of my #adrawingaday project.

Day 221 - St Peter’s church, Littlebury Green, Essex.

I discovered this little gem on my walk tonight. Built in 1885 it is one of only a few Victorian Tin Tabernacles that still stand today as a place of worship.

Day 211 - St Bees beach on the west coast of Cumbria.

The red Permo-triassic sandstone is about 200 million years old (known more commonly as St. Bees Red Sandstone) It’s used for buildings, paths and walls and frequently seen around the local area.
