7/If you asked kid me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd hadve said: Barbarian. The fantasy trope of being a sword-wielding maniac was the fever dream of many tweenagers. Golden Axe was the closest I would get to living out that dream & boy did it deliver! & that ending!
3/Zaxxon! This game was mind-bending with its isometric perspective, one upped by it's sort of sequel Buck Rogers and the Planet of Zoom!
Inevitably, I always ended up walking past the New Arrivals section of the video store to the back corner area littered with VHS tapes that had covers like this.
5/And credit goes ultimately to Dan Filner who brilliantly ran with the idea and improved it and made it look better than I imagined it could look.
4/I had an epiphany about this process early on in the project when playing the games. Since then, a similar process has been used in other emulation projects online - taking a bit of the wind out of my sails.
3/This doesn't require any modification to the games, and makes them look the best that they've ever looked. See the images below: Old vs. New.

@DanMilano Feb. 21st, people... Glitch Techs, on Netflix! I was so lucky to have a part in such a cool show by really cool people. Some of the "tech" in my office at the link was used as reference, too! :)
