I noticed that our hardy Aristolochia delavayi has so many flowers forming well before the leaves
And it won’t be long before they bloom last photo taken on the
29th April 2019

Went to our local garden centre today and spent a whole £1.99
But what a little beauty

Update on the Davidsonia jerseyana or Queensland plum from the lowland subtropical rainforests of New South Wales
they are both growing well and have doubled in size already
So hopefully I can get them to fruiting size .

This is probably my favourite hardy Aristolochia with its huge leaves and amazing flowers ( Aristolochia delavayi )
first two photos were taken in our garden here in Poole Dorset this morning the last two photos were taken of the flowers in our garden this year late April . 🌱

4 years ago we pressed these fern fronds for a few weeks then mounted them on card and framed them they lasted a good couple of years before they lost colour thinking of making some new ones
Does anyone know a better way of preserving the colour ?

Still reaching for the sky and already over 7’ tall
I just love the way the pairs of giant leaves start as minute leaves perfectly set opposite the last set

a rather large specimen given to me by Andy Smith attacked me in the greenhouse .
it fell on my back and trapped me , very painful my Tina had to rescue me lol
