Found abandoned sketch (left) in a several year old PS file. Whatever I didn't like about it back then didn't stop me this time; I finally fleshed it out this morning (right). Moral of the story? Don't trash your old unfinished doodles, never know when they might re-inspire you.

I also took some progress shots as I went. The main thing I learned from yesterday's study is that it is easier to add light on top of shadows, and that I had started way to light before. This time, I blocked in my shapes fairly dark (though not actually black)
